We all know how long it has taken to get even this far in the church's renovation process. I believe it started circa 2005.

We've primed and painted, demolished and constructed, scraped the floors and installed new doors. Ready for more? It's just gotten exciting.

Tile installation starts next week; before that happens we need to do some serious painting. Colors are all picked out and today I measured wall dimensions in all directions to give us an idea on how much paint we're going to need to buy.

Yeah, it took me a while. But we're just about there. I put the dimensions and formulas in an excel sheet and it looks like it is going to take 7.5 gallons of Behr Butter Rum (for most of the walls), 1 gallon of Behr Firecracker (for 2 accent walls), and a little over 4 gallons of Behr Lightweight Beige (for ceiling and molding) to get this thing done (check my math here).

So! Who wants to have a painting party?!?! Get psyched up, because it's gonna happen cap'n. This Sunday after service and lunch, put on your paint clothes and get ready to get your painting groove on. We'll keep going until we pass out...or until its done, whichever comes first.

Need more inspiration? Check out this infomercial that I made just for the un-inspired.

The video is also good if you just want to get an idea of what the post-paint-and-tile building is going to look like. Of course, paint colors and dimensions are not exact in the video.

See you Sunday :)
